Critical incident :
The incident was with the tenth grade in the development of an evaluation with the topic of time, where a student shows disinterest in the development of the evaluation, which proceeds to not develop it and begin to play with paper airplanes, distracting us. classmates, at the moment the teacher takes action on the case he refuses to sign the "bitacora" which causes the problem to grow because the director is called to talk about the case, which the student says that the teacher does not teach and that the evaluation was from one day to the next, he made the teacher speak with the rector and coordinator explaining the situation in detail.
Case analysis :
It is a private school, where you see primary and high school, with mixed groups with approximately 30 students per classroom. The problem that I was able to identify in my phases 2 and 3 of practices in the educational institution is the lack of interest of the students in the
activities and evaluations in class, which is impacting their academic performance and their commitment to the educational process. A particular case is with the tenth grade where a large part of the group does not show interest in the subject or the activities. It can be deduced that The reasons behind this situation could be a lack of self-interest, personal or family problems that distract students, unstimulating or relevant teaching approaches, and a feeling of disconnection between what is being taught and everyday life. of the students.
For this problem, more participatory and dynamic teaching methods can be implemented, such as project-based learning, cooperative learning and the use of educational technologies. Additionally, opportunities can be provided for students to choose topics of personal interest for their projects, thus fostering their sense of autonomy and relevance. You can also establish a regular monitoring and feedback system to identify and address individual barriers that may be affecting student interest and participation.
The solution that was implemented is collaborative work where the activities were developed among the entire group without leaving aside individual activities. The use of digital resources was also implemented to carry out surveys, kahoot was used, which was evident a pleasure for this resource.
Approaches to classroom investigation in teaching :
To address the problem of students' lack of interest in classroom activities and assessments, various research approaches can be applied. This includes action research, qualitative, mixed, longitudinal and collaborative approaches. These approaches involve observing and reflecting on critical incidents in the classroom, understanding students' perspectives through interviews and focus groups, combining quantitative and qualitative data to gain a complete understanding of the problem, tracking the effectiveness of interventions to over time and collaborate with all stakeholders to design effective and sustainable strategies. These research approaches can help identify the underlying causes of the problem and develop solutions that promote student engagement and academic performance.
